EF Cengkareng & Puri to Puncak

In June I went to Puncak on an outward bound trip with all the team from both EF Cengkareng and Puri. The purpose was to spend the weekend as a group and relax and have fun socially with everyone that I work with. The 2 schools went together as they are pretty close to each other, it was new and had been open for a few months and many teachers and staff had come from EF Cengkareng to work there.
We set off on the bus after school and the trip was ok as Bogor/Puncak is only 2 hours away depending on traffic which in Jakarta is always bad. The place we were staying was high in the hills and far from any noise or roads and so it could have been better. All in All there were about 50 people.
On arrival we went to our dormitory and sorted out our things and then chatted and looked around the place. There place we were staying consisted of dormitories, food hall and a big open area with basketball court and childrens play area. As it was getting dark we did not see what else was there.
EF BSD to Bukit Thalita Resort

On Sunday March 2, 2008 the teachers and staff of EF BSD went on an outing. We went to Bukit Thalita Resort in Puncak. We left EF at about 7am and arrived at the resort just before 10am. A long trip! Once we arrived we had snacks and took a rest before starting our activities.
Our first activity was a game called swap places. All the participants formed a big circle and took off their left shoe. The object of the game was to run through the circle and swap your “house†(shoe) with another house. The person who failed to find a new house had to stay in the middle until the next round.
After this activity we were asked to split into three groups for the next game. Each group had to invent a cheer. For the next few activities, the human chain, the nail in the bottle, and the flying fox, each group had to perform their cheer before participating.
EF Tebet Outing to Jatiluhur, West Java

This year outing , all EF Tebet staff went to Hotel Plaza Indah , a 4 star resort hotel in jatiluhur west java on June 15th 2008. A lot of fun activities has been planned for this special day.
Starting with nature walks activities in the rain forest, we were divided into 2 groups with different track. Walking through the padi field, across the small river, we meet local farmer family as we rest and have some cold drinks in their small cabin in the middle of green padi field. Then, we walked in to the rain forest and in the middle of the journey, we did some “Tarzan swing†for fun in between the tree crossing from one bank to another.
